Does anyone know the whereabouts of No. 835. Perhaps you owned it in the past. I have the cover, but not the record.I left the car boot after giving him a tenner and have since spent far too much time than is healthy searching for its long lost 7” brother. Someone help me, PLEASE!

Looks a bit shit but maybe your ship just came in?

And people are bidding on THAT? Without even seeing what state the sleeve is in?
What was it that Ian said? "There are some things we'll never understand..."

No need for a heavily damaged original or a 5th repress on colour here. I have AIFL 4 times already, including the RSD 12" (which has the best sounding vinyl anyway). Maybe if I'm mad enough I'd have a go at one of the more recent Sordids, just because it looks nice.

New member here , hopefully I can fill in another gap !!
I have copy #0005 , it was actually given to me by Debbie , I was 14/15 years old at the time. The record has never been played and the whole package is in mint condition, I also own an original Ideal for Living ep , this was given to me by Ian

No huge story , Debbie is my cousin so that's how I got these recordings. Btw copy no.5 of Sordide Sentimentale contains a print by Jean Pierre Turmel entitled "Internal Hate of War " , there are apparently only 10 of these and I have #002. Often wondered from time to time on the value of this and Ideal for Living Ep , wouldn't probably sell though.Big Joy Division fan of course , saw Peter Hook down here in Auckland few weeks ago , enjoyed it to be fair.

Apart from being a seriously low number, the mystery addition and the story behind it makes it worth as much as Ian's!

Been a bit remiss, but have updated the list again, including the incredible appearance of #0005!

I had no idea about "Internal Hate Of War", and that it was included in the first few copies (obviously not precisely sequenced with the first 10 copies of SS33002)

Would love to see what the print looks like!

Happy to do a photo or scan the print , will organize that in the next few days.
The story about Ian having no.6 is intriguing though as I thought I had got his only copy , maybe he was given two though.

interesting item....never seen it before:
[$_57]

the description goes as follows:
I did a considerable amount of research on this item and had the text translated by a friend, trying to figure out as best as possible exactly where this interesting item came from. At some point during their existence, the magazine Sordide Sentimental issued a supplemental publication called Isolation Intellectuelle. One of these supplements featured Joy Division, and this card and photo were included in the supplement. The photo is credited to Danny Dupic and numbered #47/100. This would all correspond and be in agreement with the publication details of Sordide Sentimental, and date from (probably) 1978. The item is in excellent condition, with very little evidence of aging or being handled.

Hadnt seen that before ... looks like it could be legit.

My copy of 'Isolation Intellectuelle' - which i believe dates from late '80 - does not come with that .... it just has two fold out b+w gloss sheets (that are basically 3  x A4 wide, by 2 x A4 high ... that fold down into 1 x A4 size) ... plus a translation sheet and a one sided record by PTOSE PRODUCTION.
As well as the pic of Ian on one A4 side, it includes an A4 pic GPO and Cosey (from TG) kissing, plus lots of assorted collages etc
Interestingly,  Danny Dupic - who took pics at the Paris '79 gig, died on 29/7/80 ....i think Durrutti Column dedicated/ wrote a song for her.

Another one for your list... #001169

On eBay now for £650 (very little info given and a 0-score seller) - I asked the seller for the number as wasn't clear in the image.

Looks genuine enough, but too risky for me with an unproven seller and very little background!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252035062502

Hope it helps someone.

"lelebi - but which was the record included?"

It was a one side 7" by 'PTOSE PRODUCTION' called 'Women in the moon'. Avante garde is one way to describe it [smile]

another way to describe it is a less-dark-and-noisy-Throbbing-gristle sound

If you made it 'til the end you are either a hardened listener, or you just have too much time on your hands (just like the lads who made this, back then).
I guess "Isolation Intellectuelle" is a case of "Nomen est Omen".

Hi There..
Just wondered if you wish to know the whereabouts of another 'treasured' copy of "Licht Und Blindheit" and let me know how to add my copy to your list?  It has never been listed for sale previously and is No.#24/#1578 and in Pristine Condition thruout.. (except for the inevitable browning of the glue on the inside wallet and slight wrinkling of back card.), I am more than happy to send Photos if you wish?

NB.  I had always thought that possibly the first 20 or so numbered copies would have been sent to the Band and Manager (etc) so it was nice to read about some other early numbered copies..
