Someone in the Netherlands is selling copy #1447 (with a Sordid logo bag, is that legit?).

http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/cd-s-en-dvd-s/vinyl-singles/m951326740-joy-division-licht-und-blindheit-origineel-nr-1447-1578-punk.html?c=8c285449651fa109c354bbabe740c1b&previousPage=lr

(He's probably not going to accept bids under 1000€ as he asks people to refrain from nonsensical bids.
I for one won't bother anyway).

Hi Zigzag, thanks for telling us about your copy.

It will automatically get added to the list http://www.new-order.net/jd/facs/sordidsentimental.html when thehappyone reads this and updates it

Cheers

Marko

Thank-You Marko for the reply.. I am happy to send photos of my record/inserts (etc) if someone can tell me how to do it.

NB. Just a little thought on the previous post.. As many of the other Sordide Sentimental releases came with the bag (and mine obviously did not!) I keep my copy in a bag that was actually from a different release and it is 'possible' that a seller has done that..  Altho' if I ever sold it I would obviously mention that fact..

Hi,

just saw the list for the first time as I just registered here.

I just wanted to let you know that I'm the one who bought #1205 from EIL some years ago.
Just let me know what info you need from me in addition.

Tom

P.S.: a good first posting, isn't it [smile]

It doesn't have the blue "Gesamtkunstwerk" sheet though.

Doesn't seem to be any updating of the "Sordide Sentimental" list.. At  least I noted my #24/1578 has not gone yet been added, plus a few others documented recently??  (Are we supposed to send photos first?  If so to where?)

PS. Anyone know how I can edit my Username?  (Should be ZigZagChild..) Must have been the early hours of the morning..

There's no special submissions process. Thehappyone will update it at some point.

And here I am!  All entries since I last looked at this have been updated.  This is not an automated process.

I'm supposed to be subscribed to this thread and get updates, but I guess that's not working?  I'll double-check.

Looks like Discogs has 8 for sale: #1270 / #1504 / #675 / #386 (a resale) / #1381 / #1408 / #1117 (another resale, for way too much), and one guy who didn't provide the number, contacted him to supply it.  All have been annotated.

A brave soul can visit http://www.discogs.com/release/stats/193190#collection to contact the holders of the 102 of 135 people that say they own this to see if they will provide their numbers.

I have number 1199 and it's happily living with me in Poole, UK.

I've had this since the mid to late 1980's and I think I paid about £75 for it back in the day. The same price I paid for my An Ideal For Living 7".

It was one of the first things I saved up for when I left school and started my first job. It's got the inserts and is in the plastic sleeve. The strange thing is that the plastic sleeve has the Sordide Sentimental logo printed on it. I read that it shouldn't have the logo on it ... but it does ... and it's definitely genuine. It's all proved to be correct by the usual stuff, including the aged glue, etc.

I love it as much as a piece of artwork as I do for it's music, although I only played the disc a couple of times, as it was (and still is) so beautiful.

I still have 1512. Record in very good condition I played it a few times when I first got it direct from SS by post. Sleeve in good condition, It's got that kind of bulge in the back that I've seen described a few times., the front of the sleeve is in very good condition. The glue on the inside is brown and came loose on the lower seem so I stuck a bit of sellotape there ages ago. It has the white translation sheet but not the blue paper, or a plastic bag. Anyway I'm thinking about selling it, but can't be arsed with ebay ect. If anyone is intrested message me, but just so you know you'll have to pick It up from me in Stockholm.

#216 was shared with me by TJ, it's in the listing I maintain:
http://www.new-order.net/jd/facs/sordidsentimental.html

This one is fairly new (#990), and has been listed as well:
https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/454714712

And yet another tosser trying to pass on a bootleg as the real thing, so most definitely NOT listed...there's no number given, anyway:

I have number 510 which I have owned since new. Bought by mail order from Small Wonder in Walthamstow when I was 16 and living in King's Lynn in Norfolk. I remember reading in NME about it's release and then ringing up the shop one Saturday morning. I then sent them a postal order for £3.49 which included P and P.
Played it to death (as any real fan would) and it remains a favourite to this day.

Did you see them play live at all ?

Yes I saw them live first at the Leeds Futurama Festival in September 79 on the same bill as PIL. In November 79 on the Buzzcocks tour at the West Runton pavilion in Norfolk. Went backstage and talked and got autographs on a bit of paper that I have to this day. Finally at the Lyceum in 1980. Then tons of New Order gigs since then. Did you see them?
