Are these songs Joy Division or someone else?

Fake as fuck!

Man, the name "Aerial" sounds familiar...you know, I think it might have been the same song someone uploaded on Youtube. I left a comment on it telling them it wasn't Joy Division and they threw a shit fit at me, so I told them to fuck off. Goes to show there are some people who have been fans of Joy Division for five minutes and think they know everything about them and will wave it in your face, and you can just crack your knuckles and destroy them in half the time.

When I was looking for live recordings, i came across a bootleg called "dimishied".
There I found these songs. "1980 cassete" is not like the Joy Division song, especially the drums.
But the song "Aerial" is a bit like Joy Division. Especially the penny motive, Rudolf Hess.

That Aerial song is hilarious.

The guy does a barely passable Curtis impression, except for when you realise that he says his Rs like Jonathan Ross - and then notice that he's singing about his TV not working because the aerial has come unplugged at the back. [biggrin]

Sounds like something from a bad student radio show

The other one sounds nothing like JD musically or Ian Curtis vocally, and Shazam doesn't recognise it so I would say that's just a crummy home demo of someone's bedroom band in the 90s.

Aerial's bass line sounds like I Wanna Be Your Dog by The Stooges
