Wow! So it'd have to be the Kant Kino gig, right? Won't hold my breath until more details emerge but the possibility is rather exciting.

http://www.electronicbeats.net/the-feed/k7-release-incredible-video-archives-punky-80s-berlin/

The original link.

Read it carefully:

!K7 will release its archive of largely unpublished videos of West Berlin’s music scene in the era of Einstürzende Neubauten and Joy Division.

Back in the early-’80s, the founding members of !K7 records filmed avant-garde concerts in Berlin. The label now has footage of performances by the likes of Einstürzende Neubauten, Nick Cave and Fehlfarben at legendary clubs like Metropol, Loft and SO36.

I'm pretty sure we are all talking about one Mark Reeder? If so, here's his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mark.reeder1 (Wikipedia states so)

You can try to contact him there, dmxi.

You are an angel,mate....cheers for the support!!!!best we keep the beginning questions short and simple, the bare neccessities,if you will, build a form of trust....and then pesquer him 'till his head spins [bawl][eek]?!best would be if all members here interested submit questions and we create a questionaire that we find could be in his reach of answering and maybe solving some old riddles.
So,please anyone feel free to share their ideas for a line of inquiry we think mr.reeder could enlighten us with.its too early for me now at this moment to write out my thoughts clearly,so i'll check back later this afternoon,JGreham.....cheers again mate!

By all means ask, though I'm fairly sure there isn't anything, Mark would have brought it to the band's attention long ago.

"...in the era of Einstürzende Neubauten and Joy Division."

In the era of, means not actually of Joy Division.

The other subsequent articles have misrepresented this.

Well, that thread concludes with no real answers and mark didn't respond to questioning so,i say let's try again.it seems mark is a person of interest due to his position\line of duty\connections(😉) at the time.he's definitely a little treasure trove of captivating campfire stories,me tinks!
@jgreham i'll Pm a little later to go over a little invasion plan with ya,if you don't mind?

Mark is a close Barney's friend. Think Hooky would be also interested in this material if it really exists.

Interesting mark reeder interview with a snippet about jds kant-kino gig where he states that after some punter shouting :"louder!"-bernard replies:"speak fucking english, you german bastard!",which plummeted the atmosphere for the remaining gig?!?!
Here is the interview (in german) from 2015,i believe:
https://www.tagesspiegel.de/kultur/mit-musiker-mark-reeder-in-schoeneberg-er-organisierte-das-einzige-berlin-konzert-von-joy-division-ein-debakel/11811194-2.html
I will see to find the time for a translation....

Hope Werner Herzog not kill me for this...

Another Reeder's job was to represent the unknown Manchester label Factory Records in Germany, which did not work very well. So he organized in January 1980, the only Berlin concert by Joy Division in Kant cinema, which was not even half full. "Besides, the sound was bad, people could not hear Ian Curtis' voice. As a spectator shouted 'louder', Bernard Sumner replied: 'Speak fucking English you german bastard'. From that moment on, the mood was in the basement, "says Reeder. Several months later, Curtis killed himself. For Reeder, who had known him since teenage days and kept Joy Division for the best band in the world, a horrible message to bear. From then on there was no way back to Manchester at all - his last glimmer of hope had disappeared there.

cheers jumofi for time saved...perfect translation, after trying a personal contact to ask about the kant-kino gig for further info, which still is fruitless, jgreham is helping to further the cause via facefook, where we hope to garner his (reeders) interest-fingers crossed!

yeah ,another boardmember and i weren't lucky on that auction....even asked the seller if he would like to share his recollections of that evening, which was fruitless as he wasn't a fan of the band and mostly forgot about it.......and he couldn't confirm if he saw cameras at the gig, bummer.
