I'm no handwriting expert, but it looks to me like those sigs were all done by one person.

I think it's fake.

Ian & Hooky could be good fakes ... Bernard's gives the game away ..... that is not his signature

Hard thing with signatures, is everyone seems to sign in a hurry, so there is never an exact match. None of us are handwriting specialists, so hard to tell.

To me, it's seems a bit too thought out exactly where they were placed? I can't tell.

People of their age at the time, are generally still developing a handwriting style, particularly as they were in a band and, probably, as they were starting to see a glimpse of the limelight, they were only just beginning to be asked to autograph things. It's not likely to find a lot of consistency in signatures under these circumstances, particularly Bernard, who also was probably unsure what name to write! This makes it all-the-more impossible to judge the authenticity of these. Having said all that, they just might be genuine. I have a reasonable collection of signed material from the 'punk/postpunk' genre, all obtained personnally apart from 2 from a close friend, so I know they're genuine. Signed stuff on ebay? Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, but that's just me.

Well ....statistics (facts) ...80% of autographs on ebay are fake ...so .... there are so few JD signatures around ...chances of real ones popping up are pretty slim ....... I'm still looking myself

This particular seller wouldn't know either way being as he just bought them off eBay himself in the last week or so:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120764584097&_rdc=1

It's just some money grabbing twat trying to cash in on JD. The original sale reflects the actual likely value for such items, not this fantasy price he's now set.

Didn't spot that. Hmm.... but all the same, I feel these could still be genuine.
Only the original seller knows.

His eBay name is Ian Curtis. So i would expect he likes Joy Division. Why reselling the autographs when he thinks its an original? Ok making money! Look at his feedbacks. He sold much autographs... I'm doubtul. Signutes don't look bad. But Ian's autograph is very easy to copy I think, cause all autographs from him you can see are written very clearly. I would say it's a fake, cause of Bernards sign. Never seen such a Bernard autograph! And if you look closely, i think the ink (which is in very good shape) is over the yellowing old paper, so it's written much later. But who knows...

I think these signatures are genuine. However, they are worth about what the seller paid for them, c.£350. Not £1,980 or even half that. Good luck to him though.

What has Bernard signed as his surname there? Doesn’t look like Albrecht or Sumner

whatever happened here?
http://www.ebay.de/itm/290623893344?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
& i was willing to bid but was denied, due to me residing abroad .tried to contact the bugger (no offense),but haven't received an answer yet.so,two possible scenarios: 1.some one pointed out that it's a fake or 2. there's one damn happy geezer/ette glancing at their new obtained treasure with tears in their eye's &  still in awe, when double-checking the tremendous amount of dosh they had to part with!does anybody have a clue (or know the seller, maybe even a member here?) what happened ?

It appears to be to publicise the Omega Auctions auction on 5 November. I don't know why they've set up an eBay auction though. I wonder if the highest bidder is expecting to receive something?

The Astoria poster he talks about relates to the Edinburgh Astoria. It's been heavily reprinted.
