England, bunch of nuts. Can't even win off of their own goal. David Beckham should trade his hair gel for actual skill on the pitch. Someone tell Michael Owen to go tan and would someone please make Wayne Rooney's head look normal? Hopefully you lot win against that tropical paradise known as Trinidad & Tobago.

And the United States....they let me down. 3-0 against the Czechs? I thought for certain with Claudio Reyna, Kasey Keller, and Landon Donovan that we would have a shot at it. One shot on goal is simply horrible, folks. Hopefully they can get a draw out of the match with Italy.

Ohh, my four teams that I wish to make the final are (regardless of them being in the same group & in no particular order)

1. England

2. Australia (did you see that game?) Tim Cahill!

3. Brazil

4. France

Yeah, congrats to USA for their hearts! Although, they can't seem to hit the net (beside that offside situation).

France and England (in that or reversed order) are my usual favs, but they both continue to disappoint me from match to match. Brazil is also not showing any magic on the field (Ronaldin-who?). I'm from Croatia, and I believed that it was a miracle that we stood that well against them and lost only 1:0, but today's matches showed the real situation: Croatia is poor, Brazil is poor, and the guys from down under are at least dying on the field! Well done Australia!

One word: Argentina!

Glasgow Celtic.

Best games I've been to :

Being at the 100th Scottish Cup Final when I was only 10 - trailing 1-0 to Dundee Utd before winning 2-1 with my hero Davie Provan scoring a free kick.

Also being at the 1988 SCF - again 1-0 down to Dundee Utd with minutes to go when Frank MacAvennie scores twice to claim the double in our Centenery year.

Beating Rangers 5-1 at Parkhead in 98 with Larsson and Moravcik both scoring their first goals against Rangers.

Beating St Johnstone 2-0 on the last day of the season to stop Rangers beating our record of 9 titles in a row.

In Europe, being in Amsterdam when we beat Ajax 3-1 in the European Champions League Qualifier just after Martin O'Neil took over and also at the Nou Camp when we dumped Barcelona out of the UEFA Cup a couple of years later.

Internationals this week!... which, on the form of the last couple of years, means peeking through my fingers from behind the couch as hapless Ireland attempt to avoid humilation at the hands of Cyprus (yeah, we just about scraped a 1-0 win last time there) and the Czech Republic.. eh, I mean, come on you boys in green!

Like I said, humiliation... Cyprus 5, Ireland 2 - FOR. FUCK'S. SAKE. Worst result since the 70s maybe. God help us against the Czechs on Wednesday.

I know where you're coming from Richie.  Wales are in Cyprus this week, and can't do much worse than losing 5-1 home to Slovakia on Saturday.  But they probably will.

Lucky it's a really easy group though...........not!!!!

Yeah, I think we're both in for a fairly unhappy Euros campaign, Dawn! ...though Wales at least look like they have it in them to produce better displays (by all accounts they were unlucky not to get at least a draw against the Czechs). Ireland are at an all time low: the poorest selection of players in years, a serious morale crisis, the few good players we have are producing half-hearted displays (excepting Shay Given) and we have an untested rookie manager who looks incapable of performing his basic duties. On top of all of that a staggering 15 players are out injured for the match against the Czechs tomorrow.. I dread to think what's going to happen. If we get hammered again Staunton could be on his way out.

Adam Johnson, City's new signing from Middlesborough.

Puts me in mind of a certain lead singer.....
