Pre ordered mine from the US, but then did a comparison and according to Amazon the US hardcover is 272 pages while the UK hardcover is 336 pages. Now that could be wrong, or it could just be typset differently, but I cancelled it and ordered a UK copy.

Just for info, I have the book in front of me and it has 322 pages. At least the numbered ones. I guess it could be 336 including the blank ones / index etc

Just checked mine - I've been fortunate enough to have my copy for a couple of months now - it's 336 including the blank pages and the Dramatis Personae and Introduction - the main body of the book is 322 pages

Thanks for the replies. I cancelled my US order so I won't be able to report back if there is anything missing. 64 less pages is pretty substantial! Maybe it is just a mistake in the Amazon listing.

So, hows the book? Those of you that have read it let me know more. It's interestting for sure, but one thing got me still thinking whether or not to order at all. I was browsing some interesting reviews and some said that the most of the material/quotes in the book are taken straight from the mighty 2007 documentary where JD tell their own story. Does the book enhance much from those interviews and comments..if it really does go further I might be getting a copy.

I was delighted today here in deepest Greece to receive my copy of Jon Savage's book.....all 322 pages of it! Looking forward to a good read ASAP.....a quick flick reveal something on page 310 from wife Deborah that I hadn't read before anywhere about his suicide and the causes of it.

Surprised to not see a longer thread about the book actually!
I’ll have it finished during my second break at work today but feel pretty good considering it finished for purposes of this thread.
Well, as someone said, these oral histories can be a bit funny if you have already seen some of it used in another format. Felt the same way about seeing interviews from England’s Dreaming used in God Save Sex Pistols. At the same time, for hardcore fans I think would appreciate getting to see certain comments with more context etc.
It’s pretty much what I expected. Produced and presented with class. There were a couple pictures I have not seen before. No massive revelations but certainly another piece of the puzzle and have no regrets buying it. And tonight I plan to spin some JD and if a book makes you do that than I view it as a success.
Another addition to my too-large punk/post-punk bookshelf. Ha ha.
