That was bound to happen. But 50 quid for a measly CD-R? I’d play it once and never again probably. And if this is a mere sell/resell curiosity, it might as well be thrown on-line for all to hear. He’s not getting my money for one thing.

Given there is so little audio available of Ian talking at length or being interviewed - effectively only this and the recently surfaced Mary Harron interview that was included in the Factory 'Use Hearing Protection' boxset - I personally find this an interesting item, given its Barney that hypnotizes Ian .... and obviously what Ian says whilst he is under hypnosis.
The quality of this recording makes it a challenging listen at times however ...

Fully appreciate that some feel differently about this recording ... but this is a discussion site ... and we dont all have the same opnion

It’s about reading books about laws, so it sounds like a very dull session too. Although it may be interesting to some that Aleister Crowley was 28 years of age when he wrote his “Book of the Law” in 1904.

In JD-NO Interviews, 'Ian Curtis Hypnosis 1980'. mp3s, I'm afraid.

Hi fage, I made an offer for the CD for sale on eBay. Apparently there is one section missing, but until I compare it with the transcript of the full recording I don't know. I will add a copy of the transcript to the folder on BT Cloud, and someone else might get a chance to listen to it all the way through before I do.

You mean you are going to transcribe the Hypnosis CD?

I can't understand a lot of it. Hard to make out what is being said.

I vaguly recall there's a transcription in Sumner's book in the appendix. But I'm not sure if it's complete.

Yeah, maybe it's easier if you're from the same area, North England. I'm a lick spittle southerner, originally from West London.

Hi CRJ, all I have done is make a copy of the transcript from Barney's book, and convert it to pdf. And as far as I can tell, it's complete. It should make hearing the dialogue easier, even though the sound quality is not great.

It's been around for years, personally I don't think it should've been made available. That's just me.
