Just came across this article, posted in a few online sources, including... http://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/249772/New-Order-held-Curtis-seance .  http://www.newshub.co.nz/entertainment/new-order-held-ian-curtis-seance-2011053114    . I don't know if this was posted before, or, as it is not Joy Division, per se, it would have been. In any case, another example of Bernard's paranormal past life interest with Ian's spirit, particularly when taken together with the Sumner/Curtis hypnotism/past life regression which Bernard performed.

I think you're looking for clues that aren't there. Bernard wasn't mentioned in the article (which hardly constitutes cutting edge journalism). I wouldn't take it seriously - drunken prank more likely many years ago. No offence.

I'd be more interested in Bernard's interest in the sea and would love to read his yachting memoirs.

(That Soul, words from the I.C. seance)

Someone took the gear away,
What point is in another day?
A deed of some persistent thieves
Stretches my friend's reality:
They keep calling me!

jamesx2, Sorry, but I do not understand quite your point. By the term, "prank", do you mean they were trying to get attention, or get in the papers for publicity ?

Yes, really, I don't think it's wise to keep calling Ian that way. Ahem. The band probably did mean it as a prank. Not all pranks are funny, yes?
