I was just wondering if anyone knows which notepad ian wrote his songs in , and if the brand is still about today.

Maybe you can find out if you're checking out the recently published "So This Is Permanence" book.
It has been determined which brand of cigarrettes he was smoking. Maybe we can also ask Debbie which kind of toothpaste he was using?

mmh,smells like an orson wells attempt....will keep my eyes peeled for any new ian poems,set-lists,etc.

I think you're being a bit harsh on a first time poster folks!

Welcome to the boards Dayin_dayout. According to So This Is Permanencehttp://www.joydiv.org/bk74.htm Ian originally used small notebooks and later plain A4 paper. The books has photos of two notebooks and they are the hardback type with a spine ... to me they look like the good quality ones you'd get from a stationers which, if I remember rightly, tend not to have a brand name.
