Does anyone here have this? I used to think this was a special recording, but nowadays it exists in three different versions, including an edition on picture disk. Any thoughts on this?

hello,

I still think this is a important boot mainly because it was the last bootleg released on vinyl that featured one really new gig.

yes, yes, I know it was around on tapes & mp3 for ages, but I am talking VINYL here.

AND for Vinyl, this is a cool deal:
the cover-artwork is pretty good, the sound is ok, it has the complete soundcheck on side b, includes a poster, and was also issued as pic-disc to basically set next to the normal issue in your "JD-Live-79" record shelf.

I have two versions and do not feel as fooled as with other JD-Boots.

in my opinion, the makers of the above are invided to produce the following four decent mp3-gigs that have not yet received vinyl-treatment:

11.08.79 Eric's Matinee (Full 9-song Set)
04.10.79 Newcastle (Full 8-song Set)
06.10.79 Edinburgh (Full 9-song Set)
01.11.79 Guildford (Full 9-song Set & 3 x soundcheck)

ciao
AL
