Hello!

I'm new to the forum. I'm a student at Falmouth University and I'm conducting a case study research project on Joy Division and the impact that Ian's death has on the popularity of the band and tourism. I will post a survey/questionnaire in the next week or so if anyone wants to fill it out, that would be great.

I'm also planning a trip to Macclesfield next month and would love to interview some people on the subject, so let me know if you would be willing to do it.

Cheers,

Liam Quinn

I'd advise you to begin by reading "Touching from a Distance" and "Torn Apart". Next the books by Peter Hook and Bernard Sumner. Maybe you don't need to interview anyone in order to get answers. Few stones have remained unturned you know.

Thanks for your reply man! I'll definitely read them. I'm currently reading Peter Hook's 2012 book. HWe currently writing another but that's on New Order.

I will need to interview people however, as that will form my primary research. Reading up will only form secondary research. The joys of academia, eh?

I think if you search this forum's archived threads you'll find some about what you're researching.
