Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, but a longtime Joy Division fan. It's great to join a community with other people that share the same passion for a truly unique group.

I would like to share with you my tribute to Joy Division. I've designed a print that chronologically maps out the complete songwriting history of the band - from the ´Warsaw´demo to the 'Ceremony' demo. You can see it here and I hope that you find it interesting.

I would love to know your thoughts and discuss further about this topic. I'm personally very interested in exploring the full discography of the band from a chronological perspective.

Thanks for reading this.

Alejandro

Even though I really like your effort (it's really a nice poster), I'm quite positive you joined the forum only to sell your stuff (there's more of this kind of posters you're selling on your website)
I'm not the moderator and don't mean to be rude, but I think this isn't allowed.
However, I wish you all the best 😉

Dear Fonzie,

Thank you very much for your kind comment on the poster.

As a longtime Joy Division fan, rather than spamming the community with another Joy Division product, my honest goal was share this with other fans of the group as I think that they could find it interesting.

I am proud of this piece and beyond grateful with the people that kindly bought my print; it really means a lot to me, but rather than selling it here, my goal was to share it with other fans. I'm also a fan first.

I design prints about what I'm passionate about e.g. Manchester / New York music history, The Velvet Underground and Joy Division and I've thought that this would be a nice post to discuss further about the songwriting history of the group.

Please accept my apologies if you found my post spammy or promotional. This wasn't my goal at all.

Happy Easter!

Alejandro

Imho is not great to capitalize on someone else work. Bootlegs are another matter, when they're not a commercial move.. To be honest I got confused by the graphic but ill give another try and as there are a few left ill buy a couple dozen

Well done mate. Can not read the tiny words but it looks okay. Can you share a higher def pic?

I am not a chronological expert but some details would make the composition even better. For example, referring distinct versions of The Kill, add warsaw early stage songs such as Reaction, Tension, Lost, Bleedin'ell, ... And why combine in a print songwriting history with literary influences of IC?

Thanks mate!

I've decided to stick to the songs that've been officially released, but it's also interesting to map out demos, unreleased songs, live cuts, distinct versions, etc. This could be another project!

As per IC's literary influences, I am personally fascinated by learning about Ian's favourite reading material and authors. As we all know, Ian was an avid reader and this permeated heavily into his songwriting. It is an interesting reading list.

I don't have a high res pic with me now but the tiny words include info such as recording/release date, artwork/production credits and so on.

Cheers,
