The french movie Nathalie had Atmosphere played in the car as the couple drove home for some infidelity, and also some informativ JD history:

He:  Do you like it?
She: Yes, what is it?
He:  Its Joy Division, the singer hung himself. They used to be called
Warzaw, now they called New Order and are world famous. In fact,
       I know them.....
She: But you aint gonna hang yourself?
He:   No.

I think the Michael Jackson/Joy Division doc has been mentioned before. Hard to imagine how any JD song would fit in with a Michael Jackson doc.

"Cold case", the American detective series solving old crimes, featured "Love will tear us apart" in an episode that was set in the early 80s.
Saw it last week, but Dutch tv is usually a few years behind with series like this.

I remember Dead Souls being played too Kiltman.  I think it was Top Gear on Sunday night.  Could be wrong.

Hey SB, was the "Worlds Toughest Towns" the one on Paris, coz I heard a JD track on that particular episode, but I couldn't quite place it. It's was only after about half an hour me brain registered it as something in my memory...Lol!!!

Remember hearing "Failures" and "Leaders of Men" playing in the background in Eastenders quite a few years back. Though I sometimes think I hallucinated it!

Atmosphere on the Trip, with Coogan & Brydon.

Also a brief discussion about how urban it sounded or something.

Not background music but ...

I've only seen one episode of Waterloo Road about a month ago and it featured a Joy Division poster in the daughter's bedroom. I guess the bedroom features in many of the episodes.
