We've all got one, no matter what we think they weren't perfect, so whats yours?

Mine is 'Atrocity Exhibition' a mediocre song made even worse by Hannet throwing every studio effect and stupid sound he could find on it. With UP he sprinkled fairy dust onto it, wiith Closer he shovelled it on and buried good songs.

With out a doubt, it has to be 'Colony'.

A couple of contenders. Atrocity Exhibition on record, Hannett buried it. Candidate has never been up there in the top few though either.

The TJ vote for worst JD track goes to Failures - never could stand it!

'Candidate'  ...... 'Glass' played live ..... 'Failures' ...... 'Transmission' 45 (surprisingly lightweight Hannett production - compared to much more powerful live versions) ......

I'm firmly in the pro-Colony camp. Democracy is a fabulous thing. No one will be up against the wall for saying what they think here - except those who disagree with me.

I know I'll get crapped on for saying this but my least favortie JD track is probably New Dawn Fades...I like the bass and intro, but that guitar riff at the start just annoys the shit out of me.Amateur hour.

OhBTW,I hated the song Colony for a long time UNTIL I heard the BBC Session version, that completely changed my mind about it so that now it's one of my favorite songs by them.

Wow, you lot are insane. "I Remember Nothing" is one of their best tracks, especially live. In the studio it was also flawless, a crisp and downed track that I always like playing.

Novelty? That too is grand.

Yeah, I don't get the Colony hating.. watch the 'Here Are The Young Men' video version, I think that track works best with the savage guitar sound turned all the way up. Same for I Remember Nothing - I didn't like it too much until I heard the live recordings and then it clicked.

Their first records, like Gutz, you're no good to me, are their worst stuff.

But, if my least favorite is Incubation, I don't think they were good enough instrumental players to make an instrumental song. And I just don't like it.

I don't see how you can count the Warsaw demos. I love Joy Division, my least favourites are probably I Remember Nothing, Ice Age, and Interzone. I still enjoy them though
