Last night I went to a lecture here in Cork by Graphic designer Malcom Garrett. He did a lot of sleeve designs for among others The Buzzcocks and Duran Duran.Afterwards I got him to sign my copies of Magazines The Correct Use Of Soap and After The Fact both of which he worked on.Hes a very nice guy and I chatted with him for a bit about him going to school with Peter Saville and I asked him about seeing JD live.He says he saw them when they were still Warsaw(I forgot to ask him what venue) and he said they were "crap".He was full of praise for Martin Hannett who he said was responsible for developing their sound.

Nice little story, darkdubh - thanks for sharing. I met a bloke last year who also saw Warsaw in late 1977; he said they were "bloody awful".
