yeah, but its from when they reformed though & just not the same. why call it anything is quite probably the worst lp ive heard ever, and im a big chams fan.
i sometimes wonder why they dont release the live recordings ? they do exist. i know that for a fact.. loads of them.

Agree to a certain extent on the Why call it anything? angle although the lp does have some good points, 1st couple of tracks hark back to the good ole days, but indeed its not the same.

As for the live performances circa 2000 - 02, they were pretty good imo, especially the Academy, Jillys and Cuba (in Macc of all places) gigs. But suppose your right, getting to old to jump on stage and join in like Salford Uni & Middleton Town Hall in 85.

Still way better than fu#kin Westlife.

Have not got around to buying a copy yet but I'm sure Arsenal has been tacked onto the Camden Palace gig on the Singing Rule Britannia DVD.

Got the new dvd today, looks great.

On the subject of the Chameleons, does anyone remember them appearing on Mike Sweeney's Youth Opportunities tv show (Local BBC show broadcast only in the North West) in the early 80s?

No, wish I did though. I have got a tape with 4 or 5 songs from the Ritz show in 85, (incidentally at the actual gig, I passed out in the ruckus at the front & as I went down grasped at the nearest object which happened to be a pair of breasts!)

Was flicking through the channels on the radio on the way home from town this afternoon looking for the footie, & low & behold "In Shreds" on Mike Joyce show on Revolution. After the track he asked for questions as he's going to have a telephone interview with Mr B in the near future but neglected to tell us when.

Might be the Capitol Radio version, sounds similar to that.

Just played the Capital Radio version and its not that one. In my humble opinion, it sounds more like the version on the Radio 1 Evening Sessions disc but alas, its not that one either. Whatever, one of my favorites, cheers.

as far as i know, this version of 'on the beach' was part of a 4-track session.
the other 3 tracks being 'PAPER TIGERS' the lyrics at the beginning of this repeats the word 'moment' instead of 'instant'. 'NATHANS PHASE' i cant remember if this is the one of 'TF&TB' or not. & 'VEIW FROM A HILL' this is the last track off the 'radio 1 evening show sessions.

I've got the Piccadilly session if anyone wants it, pretty good quality.
I didn't know there was another Janice Long session apart from the one on the Nightime sessions disc.
