Looks interesting - out next year. Whether we need another version of the story is another thing but at least he was there from the start (and isn't Paul Morley).

Nice Berlin pic too.

How many indie bands with only 2 albums released can claim so much attention given?i will repost a summation by someone, whom understands the importance of this unique band:

This explains, why still books are written about our favourite band!!!

Have always enjoyed Jon Savage's writing ... honest, accurate (he was there) and engaging  ... however, is there really much else out there on JD that hasnt been printed already ??

The 'History in Cuttings' A4 fanzines from the mid 80's pulled together pretty much everything that was published on JD in the national and underground press between 77-80.
Appreciate these are no longer available and werent available to the mainstream to begin with (that said i bought mine in the local Virgin Records!) ... can there really be much left that hasnt already been published ?

Has Jon got access to original interview tapes with the band or is this release just a compilation of already published material ??

The majority of the interviews were conducted in 2016.

Ha!

So the publisher claims, anyway. Obviously, a lot of material is archive.

I am surprised that jdc hasn't published its release on its main-page yet?
