Hi gang. I'll be headed over to Japan again in the new year and am aware that people say the pressing of the box-set has is mastered well and will look for it but am wondering if there is a different mastering job regarding the newish CD re-masters from 2007 or thereabouts.

I have the standard Rhino two-disc versions. Discogs seems to indicate the Japanese versions are probably the same aside from some changes in the packaging.

By all means if there are other Japanese pressings etc I should look out for as well pls let me know!

I think it was the Japanese pressings (and also a box set) from the early 90s that were considered to be very good, Because they didn't suffer from compression or loudness war and the resulting frequency clipping. After more than 25 years they are now also very rare in Japan.
Maybe some folks on the board can confirm this.

Nothing wrong with an old Factory CD or the first H&S box set, is there?

I would sacrifice a testicle to get one of these[wink]šŸ˜ƒ8cAAOSwE21dIibc
[s-l1600]  I know the seller due to buying the fact10cc box from him....really good dude and knows his stuff.really takes care of his collection and buyers can trust his item descriptions.
But this boxset is out of my league...but maybe i'll snag this box as it is still sealed:

.....wish I could remember exactly when and how I obtained it, but that's lost in the mists of time it seems. But I do remember I was happy to get it back then.....
