It was great to see the film on the big screen with terrific sound etc. Very impressive and everyone associated with it should be very proud of what they have achieved.

The Q&A was recorded for potential use on the dvd as an extra. Steve Morris was his usual witty self and  Jon Savage came over really well too.  A guy from Time Out was the main interviewer (didn't catch his name) and after about 20 mins of questions he then threw things over to the audience for questions.

I asked Jon Savage why Debbie Curtis did not participate and he gave a very tactful non answer saying that she was approached but decided for various reasons not to participate. I'd speculate that it was either she'd had enough of films for a while post "Control" or that Annik's participation meant she was not interested. Anyone know for sure?

I got a question in too - the one about the cover versions that turned Stephen's stomach!

A great night - Stephen should be a stand-up comic!

He should indeed Lee! Always very witty.

Did I spot Terry Mason and Gillian also there or is my brain failing me?

Yes, I thought it was funny when that girl/woman mentioned Morrissey! I was also quite pleased when one of you chaps mentioned this site, and Stephen did manage to say he does know it. It's nice to know they maybe reading our words sometimes, a really nice feeling that.

Chris.

I suspect the site was studied long and hard as part of the research process for the film. Even now I stumble across material on the site that I've not been through before - like the great section on the May/June 1980 tour that never happened that I had a good look through today
