Chris Cornell, the lead singer of American hard rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave, has died aged 52. The medical examiner confirmed Cornell’s death was suicide.

Brian Bumbery, Cornell’s representative, called the singer’s death “sudden and unexpected” and said his wife and family were shocked. On Thursday, the Wayne County medical examiner’s office said Cornell killed himself by hanging.

Cornell was found dead in the bathroom of his room at the MGM Grand Detroit hotel, after Cornell’s wife asked a family friend to check up on him.

Did he choose the date and the manner because of Ian?

Hey, I never knew there's a medical examiner's office named after the artist f.k.a. Wayne County! Wayne's Jane these days, but in his Wayne days he had a punk band called the Electric Chairs. In terms of image they were inspired by Andy Warhol superstar Jackie CURTIS!
So if you're looking for a way to connect the names Cornell and Curtis, guess this is the way (so step inside.)

Surely it's just unfortunate coincidence. If Mt St Helens had re-exploded too, well then, perhaps everything is indeed by design!

SuperUnknown Pleasures...

Rumour has it that Chris's cause of death had more in common with that of Michael Hutchence (autoerotic asphyxiation).
