beam265 is our old friend.

Wonder when the other five copies will be put on sale?

Wonder who bought it?

If the buyer is out there - I've got a set of melodicas for sale - Ian used them on "In A Lonely Place" - I bought them off him as a schoolboy - OK - it says 2002 on the back but that's a typo - yours for £2K each - I got six of them - Ian liked to have an array about his person so he could choose.....

Why is/was a rehearsal being put on vinyl? And also, why didn't the seller reveal anything specific about the contents and instead place one blurry picture after another. Pretty poor advertising. I'd call it dodgy and think everybody can safely stick to their copy of Misplaced. Plenty of rehearsal material to be found there.

Chris Hewitt and his schemes again.

The band were absolutely not in the habit of putting rehearsals onto acetate, ever! Didn't happen.

You won't get details from him as to what's supposed to be on it as it's in his interest to obfuscate.

If he's genuinely conned someone out of £1900 then I think the police should be involved.

I hope he gets done but I have no sympathy for the person who has been conned. If I was to spend that kind of money on a record I would be seeking advice on various areas of authenticity.

It could be a shill auction to establish the fraudulent item, followed up by sales of the other copies he maintains exist.

I also frowned on that test pressing of the two factory sample tracks, which was on a 10" or something. Weird stuff without any clues from catalogues from the past. If anyone wants to spend a fortune on such stuff (which may well be phoney historic documents) it's not the manufacturer who should be scorned for being so cunning, it's the gullible buyer one should feel pity for. Forgers will keep on forging as long as fools keep being fools.

He stated they were made exclusively for mister gretton himself, so there must be notes confirming this in 'top class manager'........& even so, that still would be dubious due to hewitts track record.
But something in me hopes...........ah, we'll find out before that missing film footage will see the light of day, anyway.

I think that was actually genuine. I see no reason why there wouldn't be an acetate of those two tracks made for reference, especially for AHW himself (as was put forward).

There were no references in the notebooks to this, as it is a total fake. A bunch of random rehearsals would never have been cut to acetate. Strawberry mastering was in London and it cost money and time to do it, so why would they?

Hard to fathom ... given whats happening

As you probably know, they used to run Suite16 Studio (formerly Cargo Studio, in Rochdale) together back in the mid 80's ...

Yes I realised they used to be in business together but PH must know what he is doing and yet still makes a point of thanking him in his book. For someone who is claiming that his ex band mates are ripping him off that seems a bit contradictory.

Couldnt agree more.

Maybe Hooky is no longer bothered by numerous JD related musical items of varying provenance hitting the market at regular intervals?

So, we're not getting any answers which once again proves that ozzit is full of it, a pity actually. Just for one moment, it seemed nice to think:"oh, something new,"-scroll down-"oh, beam2something...fuck!"
