Of my many, many JD artefacts, my favoutites are:
Joy Division by Humania - a quality book in Hungarian (that finally convinced my wife that I was a loon)
A History in Cuttings 1 & 2 - fandom at its best. God bless the compiler for going to such trouble.
They Keep Calling Me - It took me nearly 20 years, and I wept when I got a recording of the one Joy Division gig I went to at ULU.

Warsaw:- The Ideal Beginning E.P. 12". Joy Division:- Vinyl L.P.s Unknown Pleasures, Closer, Still (Cloth cover), Preston (brown vinyl), Les Bains Douches (Double L.P., blue vinyl), Warsaw (Retropop version), Soul and Heart (White Vinyl). E.P.s Solitary Demands E.P.. 12" Singles Atmosphere. 7" Singles Transmission Love Will Tear Us Apart. Compilations Earcom 2 12". Tapes Eindhoven Effenaar, Bowden Vale Youth Club, Komackino L.P., Ian Curtis Interviews - all. I don't think I have really got something until I have got it on Vinyl. All the L.P.s and singles are original ones I bought in the very early 1980s, (except those released more recently). As I never buy c.d.s I got the L.P. "Soul and Heart" instead of the "Heart and Soul" c.d. It has another advantage in that it avoids duplicating half of your J.D. record collection, and only contains the never before released tracks from H+S, as opposed to all the rest!. Wanted:- Retrosprective Part 2. Other L.P.s to be bought soon include Short Circuit and some more live. Vinyl Forever!.

Let's see....a TDK D cassette with Love Will Tear Us Apart, recorded off the radio Ruined In A Day cd single a Select magazine from the 1990s with an interview with New Order another cassette with Blue Monday, again, taped off the radio I used to have an episode of Mrs Merton Show on video with Peter Hook on it, as house band leader that's about it.

Too many items to list everything here (slightly less than 2500 in total - without all the cuttings). My Joy Division collection includes: - EP, LP, CD and cassettes: 1145 - videos/DVD-R: 33 - photos: 384 - concert flyers: 4 originals + 2 repro - concert posters: 6 originals + 6 repro - concert tickets: 15 - badges: 104 - postcards: 56 - posters: 51 - press-kits: 9 - stickers: 18 - shirts: 25 - books/magazines/fanzines: 434 - covers by other bands (EP, LP, CD, cassettes, videos): 139 The above are all different and original Joy Division items (except a dozen of CD-R copy and the 8 repros). I also have many other collectables, like autographs (Ian, Peter, Stephen, Bernard, Tony Wilson, Peter Saville, Deborah Curtis, Annik Honoré, etc.), photocopies of two letters Ian wrote to Annik while on tour in 1980. Plus some other items: 13 magnets, 5 lighters, 2 clocks, 4 paintings, 4 mousepads, 1 calendar, and about 500 cuttings. Oh yeah, and of course all known live recordings (CD-R, cassettes). No need to ask me: NONE of the above is (or will ever be) for sale!

It will be interesting to see if anyone has a collection that comes close to iancurtis. Something I really would really love to have is an original Ian Curtis autograph.

Hey, I agree iancurtis.org looks like the dogs bollocks. But i like the fact that people have an interest and feel good about collecting items on a band they enjoy listening to and reading about. If anyone is interested .... New order will be touring in april and also appearing at festivals this year - maybe Joy Division tracks will be on the agenda ? Ian Curtis.org is a person who is an avid collector and good on him, as their is nowt wrong with having a complusive interest as long as it is legal and does not involve animals. Good luck Bon voyage

to PAUL: I am sorry but I promised to Annik that I would keep them exclusively for me and never pass them out. Ian mainly write about the gig of the day before, his feelings about Annik, and what they visited in the city they stay.

Iancurtis do you think those letters will ever see the light of day? Perhaps with the publishing of that Mick Middles book later this year?

To IanCurtis I just wondered out of interest what original gig posters you have ...and also if you have ever managed to track down any JD's original equipment ? I did track down the whereabouts of the original ARP OMNI II synth - but in the end the guy chose not to sell it to anyone ....regretably ! Cheers Pat

To Wasimple: I doubt these letters would ever be published. These are personal writings from Ian to Annik, and I guess she will keep them all (a dozen in total) for herself, exclusively for herself.
