Alright Spooks ...long time no see - trust all is well with you mate.

As well as the 'History in Cutting's' collections there was also the 'Standard' A5 zine's ....that had good articles/ features on the Hawkeye bootlegs of the time, gig flyers, promo releases, etc.

One of the Standard issues included a re-print of that cracking Alan Hempsall interview with JD ('A Day Out with JD') .... from when he was in teh studio with them in Jan '80 recording 'These Days'.

Spooks - Dig your JD stuff out of the loft .... remember i mentioned that old Koln / Cologne Basement tape you had that I mentioned last time we met

Yeah,
today i got the original AIFL 7". Sleeve is very good + and the record is good. Maybe i can clean the record, so it will be very good. I bought it in a online store for 130 Euro. So, for me, it's a bargain...

My Joy Division collection is tiny at the moment - only one CD, Substance which I got for Christmas - but hopefully, I should get some more stuff this year.

My (massive) collection mainly exists in digital format at the moment, however I have these:

Still (1980's release, CD)
Live at Preston (CD)
Total: From Joy Division to New Order (CD)
Unknown Pleasures (Vinyl, miscellaneous remaster, not a first pressing)

I also used to have the Heart and Soul Boxset (1997, CD), but I gave it to one of my close friends, since he only had a Unknown Pleasures CD.

Thanks, dmxi. I too find it upsetting that I haven't at least got Unknown Pleasures and Closer in addition to Substance! My dad got it me and in his opinion, compilation CDs and "best ofs" are all you need. Also, he had two Cure compilation CDs - Staring at the Sea and Galore and he never got me any of the albums for ages! I'd been listening to just The Cure's singles for about a year before he bought me Disintegration in a music store and I've had more albums for my birthday and Christmas. I just got Substance last Christmas because I found some Joy Division stuff on YouTube and got obsessed with them.
If anyone does know what to do with the JD situation, I would be most grateful and dmxi will be happy as well.
