Joy Division bootleg collection complete. Although attributed to Warsaw, they were actually already Joy Division by the time this gig was recorded at The Rock Garden, Middlesborough. Contains songs never recorded like Tension, Lost and Reaction.

No - they were Warsaw. The last Warsaw gig was New Year's Eve 1977 - they beame Joy Division at Pip's in January '78. This is September 14 1977 - its the Joy Division line up (one of Stephen Morris' first gigs) but they were definitely still Warsaw at this point.

Beautiful counterfeit AIFL 12" (so much nicer than the RSD one!), and a white vinyl Closer boot.  Utterly, utterly pointless but lovely...

quite 'bemusing'....typical response from someone that just got dumped by their 'big love' ,whom was a massive JD-fan & surely from manchester,as this quote indicates:
"JDs(sic) legacy is the highly-strung anti-socialism of the MANCS & the po-faced(?),misanthropic whinings of......blablabla!".....
always 'tragic' when one is forced to wank but retaliating by slandering the ex's favorit band cements ones 'wanker' status!god have mercy on the 'reapers' soul & hope he meets a like-minded(left-hander) 'duran-duran' fan!
(cheers for posting,sb)

Dante's Inferno bootleg of the Bournemouth gig from November 1979 (Buzzcocks tour).

Good quality recording of a cracking gig. And it has the complete set which not all bootlegs have.  (And a great version of LWTUA which had only been debuted a couple of weeks before.)

Got it from X Records in Bolton. First time I'd been in there, man, is that one helluva treasure trove! Could have spent the proverbial 50 quid and then some!!

A friend of mine used to have an original copy with the Gustave Doré picture, but the record center was concentric (which doesn't make for a great listening experience). I later bought that "Bournemouth" reissue with the boring plain cover, which not only was incomplete, the sound quality was awful, especially side 2. I re-sold it later. It's a nice gig and a recording with great boomy drums, but the cuts in between the songs used to annoy the inferno out of me!
