I've got a Janice Long session made up of Home is Where the Heart Is, Intrigue in Tangiers, View from the Hill & Second Skin, only a MW recording though iirc! Will do copies if you want, + the 4 live tracks from Ritz, broadcast on Piccadilly in 85. __________________ The train now standing on platform four |

Can somebody tell me - did the Chameleons have a keyboard player? There are tons of synths in the mix on these live videos but you never see anyone actually playing them.. was it done by somebody offstage? |

| #28 | yes, they did live, but strangely was never an official member of the band.
dave fielding took the credits for the arrangements, but im not sure that he played in the studio recordings as it would mean they were added later.
i know of two over the years, with alister lewthwaite playing on 'script', & andy clegg(sun & moon guitarist) doing the honours for 'WDAM?B' & 'strangetimes'.
im not sure who did it when they reformed though...
ive got a live recording of them doing a cover of 'breakdown' by the buzzcocks __________________ am i going to be dead for longer than before i was alive ? |

| #29 | If I remember rightly Fielding played a lot of the keyboards live when they reformed, certainly on stuff like Swamp Thing. __________________ "You need people like me. I got the Janice Long session that includes Second Skin today, seems she rebroadcast it on one of her BBC 6 Music shows. Download it here. http://rapidshare.de/files/25305291/_6_music__The_Chameleons_-_1985_Radio_Session.MP3.html __________________ "You need people like me. | #34 | About time too! Truth be told, I always liked this LP more than Script, On The Beach is up there in my top 10 (well this week anyway) and my signed copy from Piccadilly records is all tucked up in the "special" records box with I think the set list from Middleton Civic Hall 85. Rumour has it that it was released on pink vinyl but I've never ever seen a copy. I'm intrigued (pardon the pun) as to what will actually be on the second disc that we haven't actually heard before as surely just about everything that the individual members held got released in the fallout of the split.
Dunno if you have already SB but check out You Tube (Bushart), there is some pretty good footage from the other week filmed from the stage. __________________ The train now standing on platform four |

| #35 | I have a disc of demos for the second album, it might be those.
I've always loved the album but the band seem to view it as a bunch of left over songs that they didn't record for the first album, incredible really, and I know they hate the production. Songs like Intrigue in Tangiers, One Flesh, Return of the Roughnecks, Home is where the Heart Is and On the Beach are fantastic.
